Thanks to 60 generous supporters, our fall fundraiser unlocked the [full $10,000 match](https://www.albanyscanner.com/2026/09/01/editors-desk/albany-scanner-10k-match-kickoff/), raising more than **$22,000** and welcoming **50 new members** along the way.

We're so excited by the trust the community has already shown in Albany Scanner. One reader put it this way:

"News coverage of right where we live is so enriching and fills a huge void in our city. It makes it easier for residents to stay informed."

**Now we can focus on the news**, with ballots arriving next week and plenty to cover in Albany.

We're also rolling out monthly subscriptions soon, giving readers another easy way to support Albany news.

We now have **334 members** supporting Albany Scanner. See who's [helping make this work possible](https://www.albanyscanner.com/members-funders/).

Thank you for your support. We're just getting started!
