The City Council rejected a new license plate camera contract Tuesday, effectively ending the city’s police camera program — aside from a pilot program for parking enforcement.

Flock is out: Albany rejects license plate cameras
The new contract would have reduced the numbers of ALPR cameras in Albany. The existing contract with Flock Safety ends Friday.
