For 45 years, the gallery that is now Abrams Claghorn has been a fixture on Solano Avenue, weathering recessions, changing shopping habits and the pandemic.
With sales reaching critical lows, owner Robby Abrams told Albany Scanner that the gallery's future is uncertain.

Friends of the Albany Library is hosting a pop-up book sale on the front patio (facing Marin) of the Albany Community Center on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The nonprofit will sell books for adults, teens and kids, as well as DVDs, CDs and puzzles – starting at just $1 — with proceeds benefiting library programming and educational events.
Correction: Major credit cards are accepted for purchases of $3 or more. Otherwise, payment via cash or check with matching ID.
