Double down on Albany news: Help us raise $20K by Sept. 30

Today's the day: Albany Scanner's matching campaign is officially underway.
Since we brought on Allyson Aleksey as our contract editor and started publishing Aug. 11, we've covered Golden Gate Fields' path toward a $125 million park vote, the fight to save a Solano Avenue gallery, the plan to clear hazardous eucalyptus from Albany Hill, and all six measures headed to Albany voters this November — four to six new stories a week, with no paywall.
Now, thanks to a generous local donor, we have a chance to build on that momentum: Every first-time gift to Albany Scanner will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000, through Sept. 30.
